My favourite cooking-in-university memory:

Dennis, Thai, Stephen and I are making grilled cheese sandwiches in the oven on a cookie sheet. The sandwiches are done, and I'm taking the cookie sheet out of the oven when one of them falls off the sheet on to the oven door. I watch in horror as it slides down the door, falls on to the element, and catches on fire.
